I have been practicing fire performance since first volunteering with Future Trybe at Burning Man in 2003 (as Fire Safety). I went on to study and perform in Sacramento CA, with a group of local performers at local art gallery events.  Since staring a family in 2008 I generally practice for fitness and relaxation with LEDs, using "real" fire only for special performances at parties with family and friends.  I would love to do more performance work in the future... I love any good reason to dress up in a fun costume and dance! I started performing with Long-staff and Double-staff, but now use Poi pretty exclusively (they are so mush easier to transport)
